Buffalo leather is highly regarded for its unique appearance and hardy nature. It is also renowned for its flexibility while retaining its shape and fit. The history of the buffalo and its status as an American icon make this leather an American original. Buffalo is drum dyed then put through a gentle massaging process before being dry-milled which accentuates its soft, supple hand.

An old world tanning process is used in developing the unique, random dye pattern found in Walnut Crunch. Walnut is a full aniline leather, hand crunched and baled in the wet blue state with the creases stained darker, then vacuum dried, with a feel top added to provide tackiness when handled. The natural oils and waxes incorporated in finishing further highlight the character and feel.

Pound for pound, kangaroo is one of the toughest leathers in the world. Made from wild range kangaroo directly from Australia. While lighter in weight than typical cowhides, "roo" has a tensile strength 2 to 3 times greater than cowhide. While the appearance may show scratches as a result of the kangaroo's wild nature, this leather is ideal for the fingers of Nokona gloves.
